It was an overcast with a few sprinkles here and there as we made our way south on the bus.
We stopped for shopping and "tea" at Burton-on-the-Water. A lovely little town with a stream flowing through the center with shops, little restaurants and tea rooms on either side. Several bridges crisscrossed the stream.
Great topiary to advertise the small museum there.
Loved all the buildings made from the golden stone mined in this area
inside of the old tea shop where we had our "tea" |
Next door to a fabric store in Bath. Flowers galore everywhere in England
Of course we went to Bath Abbey.
And to the Roman Baths - right next door.
We enjoyed a visit to a Kaffe Fassett Exhibition in one of the Bath Museums (no pictures allowed)
as well as a trip to the American Museum and a city tour etc.
To end our second day we had fish and chips with friends at this pub that was conveniently located just across the street from our hotel.

Thanks Pat,
I loved reliving our trip. Your pictures are great and such a perfect reminder of our days there. Had forgotten about the stone seat and lady watering her flowers from the window.
