We spent just a couple of days in London. The weather was beautiful if a little warm for them.
We had a city bus tour that was very nice - it was the day someone tried to drive into the parliament area do we were restricted from going there but saw a lot nonetheless.
This was as close as we could get to Buckingham Palace due to time constrictions with the tour.
One of the scheduled events of our tour was a shopping trip to Liberty of London - so here is our group after shopping with our iconic purple shopping bags.
While waiting for the bus- this store was across the street - notice all the sewing machines behind the store sign.
Guess everyone has one of these pictures!
We were outside the Victoria and Albert Museum. S and I actually braved it and rode the tube back to our hotel on Canary Quay. Pretty easy if you are sure where you are going. A very nice man at the station helped us with our tickets and told us where to change trains. It took us longer to find our way from the station back to our hotel than it did to ride from central London to the quay.
Londoners like to nickname their buildings - this one in the distance is called "The Shard"
This one (still under construction) - "The Pickle"
But ll in all it was a really nice trip - our hotels were great and very accommodating and the best part
was the new friends we met along the way. Our trip home was wonderfully uneventful - hurrah for home.
