Sewing and Relaxing

I have sewn the rows together on this version of the Marco Polo kalidescope

pattern.  I plan on adding a border also. I did this for the class I taught at Ladybug.

My sister in her husband were visiting during the Super Moon so we took pictures each night.
My neighbor's outdoor light kind of competes with it,  Both pictures were taken pretty early in the evening when the moon rises in the front of the house.

This is the second night.  The weather was perfect.
It was nice to have some company  and catch up with their branch of the family.
They are heading to their place on Lake Ontario for the summer.

The weather was so pretty on Mother's Day.  Logan loves to be outside so we gathered up some quilts and headed out to the backyard for relaxation and desserts.
Molly had a quilt I had given her in the car and I pulled the star quilt out of the closet.

I decided to take pictures of it before I put it away after washing it.
I started it in 2006 and finished it in 2009, before I started the blog.
Archive Quilt #270 -  "It's All About Plaids"

The pattern is Road to Oklahoma with an 8 inch block.
 It measures 88 by 96".

New Project Started!

Last Year in June, I bought this cute little panel and kit!
The panel is Campfire Friends.
I opened it up and started cutting the coordinating fabrics.

Lots of little pieces but I did get 6 blocks made.
I love the fabrics  - and the panel is adorable.

 Happy Weekend!
We are still experiencing shortages of gas here in NC,
so will spend some time at home sewing!

Love the quilts and new block with panel. Nice job on the stripes. I always get them going the wrong way.
